PRIMARY SECTION: CLASS I to V

The progress of the child is evaluated through two Formative Assessments (FAs) and one Summative Assessment (SA) for the main subjects in each term.
MIDDLE SCHOOL: CLASS VI to VIII
There are six main subjects which are taught in our school
- English
- Mathematics
- Hindi
- Science
- Sanskrit / Moral Science
- Social Science
The progress of the students of class VI to VIII is assessed through six Formative Assessments and two Unit Tests conducted in each term; followed by one Summative Assessment, which is conducted at the end of each term. The marks of SA and the average marks of FAs are added to reach to the total marks obtained in a term in each subject. These marks are converted into grades.
Promotion to Class IX
The average marks of Term-I and Term-II of class VIII are added and average is obtained which is converted into grades. A student will be promoted to class IX only if he / she obtains minimum grade 'D' in the subjects 1 to 6.
SECONDARY SCHOOL: CLASS IX and X
There are six main subjects which are taught in our school

Subjects
Students are evaluated for five main subjects known as Scholastic Area and 18 other areas, which have direct bearing on their progress in life.

Evaluation of the Scholastic Area (Subjects 1 to 5)
The progress of the students of class IX and X is evaluated through six Formative Assessments and two Unit Tests conducted in each term; followed by one Summative Assessment, which is conducted at the end of each term. The marks of SAs and the average marks of FAs are added to arrive at the total marks obtained in a term in each subject. These marks are converted into grades.
Promotions to Class X
The average marks of Term-I and Term-II are added and an average is obtained which is converted into grades. A student of class IX will be promoted to class X if he / she obtains minimum grade 'D' in the subjects 1 to 5. The student should obtain minimum grades in non-scholastic areas too. Those who get less than grade 'D' in any subject are given a chance for 'Improvement of Performance', soon after the Term-II. The concerned students need to appear for IOP only in that subject in which he/she got less than 'D' grade.
Class X
Marks of each subject obtained in class IX and X are sent to UP board. The board calculates the grades on the basis of the average marks of class IX (Term-I and Term-II) and X (Term-I and Term-II). The grades obtained in other areas are also sent to the board. On the basis of the above data, the board issues the 'Certificate of continuous & comprehensive evaluation'.
Promotion to Class XI
Student should obtain pass-grade 'D' in each subject in class X to be eligible to get admission in class XI or equivalent. Those who get less than grade 'D' in any subject is given a chance for 'Improvement of Performance', soon after the declaration of the result by the board. Student need to appear only in the subject/subjects in which he / she get less than grade 'D'.

Examinations in Class XI
Unit Tests
Besides class tests, two Unit Tests are conducted in each subject in each term to maintain continuity and uniformity of assessment throughout the year.
Half Yearly Examination
This test is conducted in September, at the close of Term-I. Questions are asked from the lessons taught in Term-I.
Final Examination
This is the formal promotional examination which is conducted at the end of Term-II in March. The entire course prescribed and taught in the whole academic year constitutes the syllabus of examination.
Promotion to Class XII
A student must obtain minimum 40 percent marks in each subject to be eligible for promotion to class XII.
Examinations in Class XII
The pattern of examination for XI and XII is the same but with two exceptions
a. Final examination is conducted by UP Board.
b. There are two Pre-Board Examinations.
Attendance and Absence
- Children are expected to attend the school regularly. A minimum of 75 % attendance is necessary for a student to be eligible to appear in the final examinations from class VI to XII.
- In case of class IX, X and XII, the Chairman, CBSE can condone the shortage of attendance up to 15%, in very special cases, on the recommendation of the Principal.
- If a student is absent for 10 consecutive days without information, his name will be struck off from the school rolls. He or she will seek readmission if they want to continue their studies.
- For long leave the parents should apply for leave in advance, with supporting documents wherever applicable.
